On a hike, I enjoy stopping to snap the flowers – taking only photos and memories and leaving the blossoms behind for others to enjoy. Recently on the Limestone Gorge Trail in The Parklands\’ Broad Run Park, I was enjoying photographing this beautiful Spotted Jewelweed (Impatiens capensis) when an insect buzzed into frame and landed on the same blossom in which I was interested. The result is this happy accident of a photograph, being in the right place at the right time, with the right camera settings.
