There Is No Sound in the Vacuum of Space

Is saying goodbye ever easy?

In November 2014, the European Space Agency landed a probe on Comet 67P. Known as Philae, this was the primary goal of the Rosetta mission – a 10-year journey from launch to landing. The Philae lander did not anchor into the comet, however, but rather bounced three times, landing in a shaded spot, unable to adequately charge its solar panels.

Clara Harris

Clara Harris believes stories help us develop a better understanding of one another. She has been working in the audio storytelling and podcasting space since 2007, when she began Swamp Witch Studio podcast to feature her playwriting and performance. Over the years, she has developed audio dramas with radio stations, narrated audiobooks, developed additional podcasts, and continued to explore the unique ways of telling a story in the audio format. Currently, you can hear her on the Night Owl Theatre and Yoga with Clara podcasts.

Clara continues work on film and stage, most recently in Dark Waters with Mark Ruffalo. Favorite stage roles include original cast of the musical adaptation of Wiley and the Hairy Man and sharing the stage with her son in his theatrical debut in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

Clara’s play for elementary students, Monster of Mine, explores how to recognize, name, and cope with big emotions – a perfect melding of her work as a 500-hour certified yoga teacher and a career spanning more than two decades in the theatre. It is featured in StageOne Theatre’s Theatre for Everywhere digital series.

Clara enjoys regular jaunts into nature to hike and camp with her rescue hound, Copper.
