Founded in 2007, Swamp Witch Studio produces stories for stage, screen, and audio. However, its primary work is in the audio space. Night Owl Theatre, the flagship program, is an audio drama podcast. Think of audio drama like a mashup of audiobooks, film, and stage plays.

What began as a simple effort to create a portfolio for her playwriting and voice acting, Clara Harris launched Swamp Witch Studio with a USB mic and a need to give herself a platform. What she didn’t anticipate was how much she would fall in love with the medium and find a greater purpose within it.

But that meant a better mic. And several of them!

Swamp Witch Studio focuses on stories that explore the intersection of culture, politics, and the individual stories within that cultural and political ecosystem. The vision of Swamp Witch Studio is to create more authentic connection between individuals, fostering a kinder world, one community – one story – at a time.
